Recessive Varieties features:

- The gene may remain hidden

- The characteristic can jump one or more generations

- It will affect a few of the birds

- Needs 2 genes to be visible

- Must come from both parents

- careful breeding is required to pepetuate change

- Pure and splits can only be distinguished by further breeding as they look the same.

Therefore:

- No bird can be split green , or to any other dominant factor

- Dominant birds can have recessive babies, but not vice-versa.

- Dominant birds can carry recessive genes
